Something New

There´s  something new around our house;
It´s not a cat, it´s not a mouse.

It´s nothing that my mother hid,
So don´t try lifting every lid.

And Dad says, “No, I didn´t hide
A thing for you to find outside.”

Oh, now I think I´m very near!

I found we have a brand new year!
